What is this programme?
Typography Essentials Certificate is an independent online program from ecertificate.pro covering typeface anatomy, family pairing, modular type scales, measure, line-height, hierarchy, readability and web font delivery. It takes about 16 hours, is fully self-paced, and is completed in the browser with exercises applied to real layouts rather than quizzes alone. Each certificate carries a unique verification code that is queried only in the ecertificate.pro database; no third-party registry holds these records. The certificate is not government-approved, not officially accredited, and grants no professional license, protected title or employment guarantee. It documents that you completed this specific program, and is intended as a portfolio and skills supplement for designers, developers, marketers and editors who set type.
Who it is for
Front-end developers, UI and product designers, marketers who build landing pages, editors and self-taught designers who set type every day but were never taught how it works.
What you will be able to do
- Read a type specimen and classify a family by x-height, stroke contrast, counter size and terminal shape
- Pair two typefaces using matched proportion and contrasting structure, and defend the pairing at real body sizes
- Build a modular scale (ratios 1.2 to 1.5) as rem custom properties and add fluid sizing with CSS clamp()
- Set body copy to a 45-75 character measure with unitless line-height tuned to the family's x-height
- Construct a three-level hierarchy from size, weight, case, color and space alone, verified in grayscale
- Audit a page against WCAG 1.4.4, 1.4.12 and 4.5:1 contrast, then repair the failures you find
- Self-host subset WOFF2 with unicode-range, font-display and size-adjust fallbacks to remove font-driven layout shift

How it works
Learning format
Self-paced written material, downloaded from your dashboard. No fixed schedule and no live sessions — you work through it when it suits you.
Material delivery
Everything appears in your dashboard as soon as your payment is confirmed. Files are served only to your signed-in session.
Prerequisites
None beyond comfortable browser use. Basic HTML and CSS helps for the font-delivery modules but is not required; every exercise also works in a free Figma file or a plain text editor.
Completion
Work through the eight modules and their exercises inside your ecertificate.pro panel, then pass the final applied and multiple-choice assessment at 70% or above. The certificate, carrying its unique verification code, appears in your panel right away and can be downloaded as a PDF at any time.
Your certificate
Once your completion is confirmed, we prepare your certificate and upload it to your dashboard, normally within 24–48 hours. You receive an e-mail as soon as it is there — you never have to chase it.
