Motion Design Basics is a self-paced online course from ecertificate.pro that covers how interface motion actually works: duration scales, easing curves and their perceived character, entrance and exit transition rules, micro-interaction feedback, and the constraints that keep animation smooth at 60fps. It teaches concrete tools and techniques — cubic-bezier and CSS linear() easing, spring stiffness and damping, the After Effects graph editor, the FLIP technique, the View Transitions API, Lottie export, and the Chrome DevTools Performance panel — rather than abstract theory. The material runs about 18 hours and ends with an assessment plus a practical motion audit of an existing interface. The certificate is issued by ecertificate.pro alone: it is not government-approved, not officially accredited by any state or professional body, and it grants no license, no protected title and no job guarantee. Every certificate carries a unique verification code that can be checked only in the ecertificate.pro database; the record is not filed with any third-party registry. It is best used as documented evidence of self-directed study in a portfolio, a job application or an annual review.

What you will be able to do
- Pick durations from a documented scale (roughly 80 ms to 500 ms) driven by travel distance and element size, instead of choosing round numbers by feel
- Read and write cubic-bezier curves by hand, and explain why decelerating curves suit entrances while accelerating curves suit exits
- Configure spring motion through stiffness, damping and mass, and judge when a spring outperforms a fixed-duration curve
- Build shared-element and FLIP transitions so a position change reads as one continuous move rather than two unrelated states
- Design micro-interaction feedback for press, hover, loading, success and error states that lands inside the 100 ms perceptual window
- Keep animation on compositor-friendly properties (transform, opacity) and trace dropped frames to their cause in the Chrome DevTools Performance panel
- Ship prefers-reduced-motion alternatives and write motion specs with duration, easing and distance tokens an engineer can implement without guessing

Prerequisites

Completion
Work through all eight modules, submit the timing and easing exercise set, and pass the final assessment at 70% or above. The certificate, carrying its unique verification code, appears in your private ecertificate.pro dashboard immediately after you pass.
