Figma Workflow Certificate

A practical course on running Figma the way product teams actually run it: auto layout everywhere, components with variant and boolean properties, variables with modes, a published shared library, and files a developer can build from without asking questions. You rebuild real interface pieces module by module and finish with a handoff-ready file audit. Independent, self-paced training from ecertificate.pro with a verifiable certificate delivered to your panel.

What is this programme?

The Figma Workflow Certificate from ecertificate.pro is an independent, self-paced online course covering auto layout, components and variants, variables and modes, shared libraries, prototyping, and Dev Mode handoff. It is aimed at designers who can already draw screens but want files that survive a growing team and transfer cleanly to engineering. The program runs about 18 hours and ends with an online assessment plus a practical file audit; passing delivers the certificate to your private panel on ecertificate.pro, carrying a unique verification code that is checked only in the ecertificate.pro database. This credential is issued by ecertificate.pro alone: it is not government approved, not officially accredited, grants no license or professional title, and guarantees no job or salary outcome. It documents that you completed a defined curriculum and passed its assessment — nothing beyond that. ecertificate.pro has published independent online training since 2016.

Who it is for

Product and UI designers who already draw screens but whose files fall apart at scale; design system maintainers; freelancers who hand files to engineering teams; front-end developers who need to read, inspect and build from Figma files; product managers who review design work.

What you will be able to do

  • Rebuild a static screen as nested auto layout frames that hug or fill correctly at any width, with padding, gap and alignment set deliberately on every frame instead of fixed coordinates
  • Convert repeated interface pieces into a base component with variant properties plus boolean, text and instance-swap properties, named with slashes so the asset picker groups them logically
  • Define color, number and string variables, organize them into collections with light/dark and density modes, scope them correctly, and bind them to fills, padding, gap and corner radius
  • Publish a shared library, write change descriptions teammates can act on, review incoming update diffs in consuming files, and retire an outdated component without breaking live work
  • Wire a clickable flow with starting points, overlays, scroll targets, smart animate and conditional prototype variables so the file answers real usability questions
  • Prepare a file for Dev Mode: mark sections ready for build, annotate spacing and behavior, map variables to code syntax, and export SVG and raster assets at the correct scales
  • Run a pre-handoff audit that catches detached instances, orphan styles, off-grid spacing, unnamed layers and frames that break outside their design width

How it works

Learning format

Self-paced written material, downloaded from your dashboard. No fixed schedule and no live sessions — you work through it when it suits you.

Material delivery

Everything appears in your dashboard as soon as your payment is confirmed. Files are served only to your signed-in session.

Prerequisites

Comfort with the Figma canvas — creating frames, drawing shapes, moving and grouping layers — plus a Figma account. Some exercises use features tied to paid seats (library publishing, full Dev Mode); free-account alternatives are shown for each. No coding and no prior design system experience required.

Completion

Work through the eight modules at your own pace, each paired with a short exercise file and a knowledge check. The certificate unlocks after you pass the final online assessment — multiple choice plus a file-audit scenario section — at 70% or higher, and it then appears in your private ecertificate.pro panel.

Your certificate

Once your completion is confirmed, we prepare your certificate and upload it to your dashboard, normally within 24–48 hours. You receive an e-mail as soon as it is there — you never have to chase it.

What this certificate is, plainly. It evidences completion of a ecertificate.pro training programme. It is not an accredited, state-regulated or nationally recognised qualification, and we never present it as one.

Refunds

Because the material is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are non-refundable once the files have been made available to your account. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is this certificate accredited or government approved?
No. ecertificate.pro is an independent training provider. The certificate is not government approved, not officially accredited, and it grants no license, protected title or professional standing. It records that you completed this curriculum and passed its assessment.
How is the certificate delivered and how can someone verify it?
It is delivered inside your private panel on ecertificate.pro — never as an email attachment. Each certificate carries a unique verification code that anyone can check against the ecertificate.pro database. It is not filed with any third-party registry or authority, and we make no claim otherwise.
Do I need a paid Figma plan to take the course?
Most of the coursework runs on a free account: auto layout, components, variants, local variables and prototyping. Publishing a shared library and using the full Dev Mode feature set require a paid seat, so those modules include a walkthrough plus a free-account alternative exercise so nobody is stuck.
How long does it take and is there a deadline?
About 18 hours of study, including the exercise files. It is fully self-paced with no cohort dates and no expiry on your access, so you can spread it across a few evenings or finish it over a weekend.
Will this get me a design job?
No course guarantees employment, and we do not promise interviews, salary figures or hiring outcomes. What you get is a portfolio-ready file built to production standards and the vocabulary to defend your structural decisions in a design review.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You learn to read the inspect panel, write annotations and map variables to code syntax so developers get what they need, but you never write code yourself. Developers taking the course for the reverse reason — reading design files properly — get the same value from the handoff modules.
