What is this programme?
Design Thinking Certificate is a self-paced online course from ecertificate.pro that teaches the complete human-centred design loop: framing a challenge, interviewing real users, synthesising findings into a point-of-view statement, generating options in facilitated sessions, building low-fidelity prototypes and running task-based usability tests. It takes roughly 20 hours and finishes with a final assessment plus a portfolio submission in which you run one full loop end to end. The certificate is issued inside your private ecertificate.pro dashboard rather than sent as an email attachment, and each one carries a unique verification code that can be checked only in the ecertificate.pro database. ecertificate.pro is an independent training provider operating since 2016: this certificate is not government-approved, not officially accredited, and it does not grant a licence, a protected professional title or any guarantee of employment. It is intended for designers, researchers, product managers, founders and teams who need a documented, repeatable way to turn user evidence into tested concepts.
Who it is for
Product and UX designers, user researchers, product managers, service designers, founders, innovation and marketing teams, and engineers who join discovery work and want a repeatable method instead of opinion-driven decisions.
What you will be able to do
- Convert a vague business request into a scoped design challenge with a user, a context, a measurable outcome and an explicit assumption list
- Write and moderate a 45-minute semi-structured user interview using laddering and critical-incident probes instead of leading questions
- Synthesise raw research notes into an affinity map, an empathy map and a current-state journey map that expose concrete pain points
- Prioritise problems with an impact/effort matrix and a jobs-to-be-done framing, then justify the choice with traceable evidence
- Facilitate an ideation session end to end: silent generation, Crazy 8s, brainwriting 6-3-5, analogous inspiration, dot voting and a named decider
- Match prototype fidelity to the question being asked, from paper sketches to clickable Figma flows and Wizard of Oz simulations
- Run a moderated think-aloud usability test, rate issue severity, log results in a rainbow spreadsheet and hand engineering a prioritised fix list

How it works
Learning format
Self-paced written material, downloaded from your dashboard. No fixed schedule and no live sessions — you work through it when it suits you.
Material delivery
Everything appears in your dashboard as soon as your payment is confirmed. Files are served only to your signed-in session.
Prerequisites
No prior design education is required. You need working English, a computer with internet access, and either a free digital canvas tool (Figma, FigJam, Miro or similar) or paper, pens and sticky notes for the exercises. Having a real product, service or internal process to work on makes the tasks far more useful.
Completion
You complete the eight module tasks and a final multiple-choice assessment with a 70% pass mark, plus a portfolio submission reviewed against a published checklist: one interview guide, one synthesis map and one tested prototype with a findings summary. Once you pass, the certificate and its unique verification code appear in your private ecertificate.pro dashboard.
Your certificate
Once your completion is confirmed, we prepare your certificate and upload it to your dashboard, normally within 24–48 hours. You receive an e-mail as soon as it is there — you never have to chase it.
Refunds
Because the material is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are non-refundable once the files have been made available to your account. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.
