What is this programme?
The Power BI Reporting Certificate from ecertificate.pro is an independent online program covering Power Query transformations, star-schema data modeling, table relationships and cross-filter direction, DAX measures with CALCULATE and time intelligence, report publishing to workspaces and apps, and refresh management through gateways and incremental refresh policies. It takes roughly 20 hours, is fully self-paced, and ends with an online assessment; the certificate is delivered in your private ecertificate.pro panel and carries a unique code that can be checked only in the ecertificate.pro database. It is not a government-approved qualification, it is not officially accredited by any education authority, and it is not a Microsoft certification — it does not replace exam-based vendor credentials such as PL-300. It does not grant a licence, a protected professional title, or any guarantee of employment. Its honest value is as structured evidence of self-directed study that you can point to in a CV or portfolio, next to the reports you actually built.
Who it is for
Analysts and reporting specialists who already pull numbers with Excel or SQL and now have to deliver refreshable Power BI reports; BI developers moving from one-off visuals to a maintained semantic model; finance, operations and marketing staff who own a recurring dashboard and are tired of rebuilding it by hand every month.
What you will be able to do
- Turn a flat export into a star schema with clean fact and dimension tables plus a continuous date table marked as the model date table.
- Write explicit DAX measures using CALCULATE, VAR/RETURN, SUMX and DIVIDE rather than relying on implicit drag-and-drop aggregations.
- Diagnose wrong totals caused by filter context, ambiguous cross-filtering or an inactive relationship, and repair them with USERELATIONSHIP or TREATAS.
- Build year-over-year, year-to-date and rolling-window measures on a standard calendar and on a custom fiscal year that does not start in January.
- Publish a semantic model and thin reports to a workspace, distribute them through an app, and enforce row-level security verified with View as role.
- Configure an on-premises data gateway and an incremental refresh policy, then read refresh history to locate and fix a failing scheduled refresh.
- Cut model size and report load time using Performance Analyzer timings and VertiPaq column cardinality statistics.

How it works
Learning format
Self-paced written material, downloaded from your dashboard. No fixed schedule and no live sessions — you work through it when it suits you.
Material delivery
Everything appears in your dashboard as soon as your payment is confirmed. Files are served only to your signed-in session.
Prerequisites
Comfort with spreadsheets (pivot tables, lookup formulas) and basic table thinking: rows, columns, keys. Prior SQL or Excel Power Pivot experience helps but is not required. Power BI Desktop is free on Windows and is enough for the modeling and DAX modules; a Power BI Service or Fabric account (work, school or trial) is needed for the publishing, security and refresh modules.
Completion
Work through the eight modules and the accompanying exercise files, then pass the final online assessment, which mixes multiple-choice questions on model design with applied questions where you read a DAX measure or a relationship diagram and explain why a number is wrong. Once you pass, the certificate and its unique verification code appear in your private ecertificate.pro panel.
Your certificate
Once your completion is confirmed, we prepare your certificate and upload it to your dashboard, normally within 24–48 hours. You receive an e-mail as soon as it is there — you never have to chase it.
