Advanced Excel for Analytics Certificate

This course turns manual spreadsheet work into refreshable analysis models. You build a Power Query pipeline from raw exports, summarise it with PivotTables and Data Model measures, add lookup and dynamic array logic, then pressure-test the result with Data Tables, Goal Seek and Solver before running a full formula audit. Every module ends with a workbook exercise built on realistic, messy source data.

What is this programme?

The Advanced Excel for Analytics Certificate from ecertificate.pro is a self-paced online course covering Power Query transformation, PivotTables and the Data Model, lookup and dynamic array formulas, scenario and sensitivity testing, and formula auditing. It is aimed at analysts who already use Excel daily and need repeatable, refreshable models instead of one-off manual files. The course takes roughly 22 hours and finishes with a graded assessment and a practical workbook build. The certificate is issued by ecertificate.pro alone: it is not government approved, not accredited by any regulator or professional body, and it does not grant a licence, a protected title or any guarantee of employment. Each certificate carries a unique verification code that can be checked only in the ecertificate.pro database, and no record is filed with any third-party register. Learners receive the certificate in their private ecertificate.pro panel rather than as an email attachment.

Who it is for

Analysts and reporting staff in finance, operations, marketing and supply chain who already build spreadsheets daily; controllers and small-business owners who maintain recurring monthly reports; and anyone preparing to move from manual files to refreshable models before picking up a BI tool.

What you will be able to do

  • Reshape exported cross-tab reports into tidy, refreshable tables using Power Query unpivot, fill down, split and group by steps
  • Combine sources with merge and append queries, choosing left outer, inner and anti joins on purpose rather than by trial
  • Replace fragile nested VLOOKUP chains with XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH and FILTER, and handle #N/A and #SPILL! results cleanly
  • Build PivotTables on the Data Model, link fact and lookup tables through a proper date table, and write measures with CALCULATE and DIVIDE
  • Run one- and two-variable Data Tables, Scenario Manager, Goal Seek and Solver on a model whose assumptions sit in labelled input cells
  • Audit a workbook you did not write using Trace Precedents, Evaluate Formula, the Watch Window and Go To Special row differences
  • Cut recalculation and refresh time by removing volatile functions, whole-column references and redundant helper columns

How it works

Learning format

Self-paced written material, downloaded from your dashboard. No fixed schedule and no live sessions — you work through it when it suits you.

Material delivery

Everything appears in your dashboard as soon as your payment is confirmed. Files are served only to your signed-in session.

Prerequisites

Comfortable with cell references, SUM, IF and basic charts, and able to find your way around the ribbon. No programming, VBA or statistics background is required. You need a working copy of Excel on Windows (Microsoft 365 or 2016+) to follow the Power Query and Data Model modules.

Completion

Each module has a short knowledge check, and the course closes with a graded assessment plus a practical build: a refreshable Power Query report with a Data Model pivot, a sensitivity table and an audit sheet, marked against a published checklist. Passing both releases the certificate into your ecertificate.pro panel.

Your certificate

Once your completion is confirmed, we prepare your certificate and upload it to your dashboard, normally within 24–48 hours. You receive an e-mail as soon as it is there — you never have to chase it.

What this certificate is, plainly. It evidences completion of a ecertificate.pro training programme. It is not an accredited, state-regulated or nationally recognised qualification, and we never present it as one.

Refunds

Because the material is delivered digitally and immediately, purchases are non-refundable once the files have been made available to your account. The full terms are in our Refund Policy.

Frequently asked questions

Is this certificate accredited or approved by a government body?
No. ecertificate.pro is an independent training provider and is not an accredited institution. The certificate records that you completed this course and passed its assessment; it is not a licence, a protected title, university credit or any guarantee of employment.
How do I receive the certificate?
It appears in your private panel on ecertificate.pro as soon as the final assessment is passed. It is never sent as an email attachment; you download or share it from the panel yourself.
How does the verification code work?
Every certificate carries a unique code. Anyone you send it to can check that code against the ecertificate.pro database, which is the only place the record exists. Nothing is filed with a third-party register, and we never claim otherwise.
Which Excel version do I need?
Power Query and the Data Model need Excel on Windows (2016 or newer, or Microsoft 365). XLOOKUP, FILTER, UNIQUE and LET arrived with Excel 2021, while LAMBDA, TEXTSPLIT, GROUPBY and PIVOTBY are Microsoft 365 only. Excel for Mac and the browser version cover part of the material but do not include Power Pivot.
Do I need VBA or Python for this course?
No. Everything is done with built-in ribbon tools, the Power Query editor and worksheet formulas. The short M and DAX snippets you write are explained line by line, and no macros are used anywhere in the material.
How long does it take, and is there a deadline?
Around 22 hours of work, taken at your own pace with no fixed schedule and no deadline. At a few hours a week alongside full-time work that lands near three to five weeks, and the final assessment can be retaken if you do not pass on the first attempt.
